MCF – Gagetown group – study & prayer

May He keep you safe through this coming weekend.
As we continue in this journey we see Jesus praying many times to His Father, so this is called Jesus, the prayer warrior. Jesus knew how to pray to His Father. We need to treat God with respect because Jesus did. We pray to the Father through the Son, by the power of the Holy Spirit.
John 14 12-14

Read Matthew 6:5-13 focus on verse 6 and 7. Jesus was asked how to pray by his disciples. They saw Jesus praying and asked him how to pray (Luke 11:1). Now don’t go to God with a shopping list – give me this, give me that. Jesus said: “Give us this day our daily bread”. God gave the Israelites in the wilderness enough for each day. They got greedy and tried to pick up more manna than they could eat. You know what happened? It went rotten. Don’t store up riches here on earth when you have untold riches in heaven (Matthew 6:19-21). Be content with what you have and God will provide you with what you need. He knows what you need and when you need it. Don’t push Him for more than what you need! When you pray the prayer that Jesus taught, feel it in your heart… say it slow and listen to the words.

Matthew 6:5-13   —  In this manner, therefore, pray:

Our Father in heaven,   Hallowed be Your name.
Your kingdom come.  Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts,
As we forgive our debtors.
And do not lead us into temptation,
But deliver us from the evil one.
For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

Verse of the day…  Matthew 6:6

He is the Redeemer of the world, who died for sinners, the One who is the Soon-coming King!

Blessings All!  Have a Great Day!
Keep your head up! GOD gives his hardest battles to his strongest SOLDIERS…
So as we go through our day let us go out to help and to care for all that need it, in Jesus’ name…Amen!
