MCF – “Form Square” Gagetown lunch Group

Good morning,

Wow, did we get enough rain yet? I think I may have to row in to work! Just think how beautiful God’s gardens are going to be after all the rain stops and the ground is full of water. God always has a plan and with all his greatness, we will see what he has in store for us and it’s always great!

Ok, so I hope last week’s message made us think of where we are at with our Father. Sorry for so many questions, but there can never be enough to stir up our hearts and with the help of the Holy Spirit we will anchor ourselves in His word. With that, we move into chapter 5 verses 11 to 15

2 Corinthians 5:11-15

The Ministry of Reconciliation

11 Therefore, knowing the fear of the Lord, we persuade others. But what we are is known to God, and I hope it is known also to your conscience. 12 We are not commending ourselves to you again but giving you cause to boast about us, so that you may be able to answer those who boast about outward appearance and not about what is in the heart. 13 For if we are beside ourselves, it is for God; if we are in our right mind, it is for you. 14 For the love of Christ controls us, because we have concluded this: that one has died for all, therefore all have died; 15 and he died for all, that those who live might no longer live for themselves but for him who for their sake died and was raised.

Topic of study…

One has died for all, therefore all have died. By Christ’s death, the death penalty for sin (see Gen. 2:17) has been paid for all those who trust in him (see Rom. 3:21–26; 1 Cor. 15:3). The love of Christ controls us. See Titus 2:11–14.

  1. What moved Paul to try and persuade men?
  2. What motivated Paul to live for Jesus Christ?

Please pray…

Our wonderful Father, you are the greatest.  You are the one I come to, with all my thoughts. I thank you for your Son and for the Holy Spirit.  Thank you for the love and joy in your words, and for the grace and mercy we get for free through your Son. We fight with the darkness of this world but with your shield, sword and the armor of protection, we fight back in your name. All those we have that sit heavy on our hearts, please keep them safe and give us the words of your wisdom to help them in this dark world. We ask you for this strength in your Son’s name, Christ Jesus…Amen!

Blessings All!

Have a Great Day!

Keep your head up! GOD gives his hardest battles to his strongest SOLDIERS…

So as we go through our day let us go out to help and to care for all that need it, in Jesus’ name…Amen!
