MCF - SMALL GROUP - ANDREW - FORM SQUARE - 2016-03-23 at 11.34.33 AMThe following encouragement comes from the weekly Gagetown MCF group.  The group is fervently led by Padre Andrew Whitman with his insights on scripture, Jimmy Damiani with his humble prayerfulness, and Jeff Page with his cheerful faithfulness.

Good morning all,
Good to see we all made it through the last storm (GOD is GREAT!) and there was a stand down as well for last Thursday. So, I was chatting with Andrew, and he would like to do a do-over of last Thursday’s topic for next Thursday. So for this Thursday we will do something a little different.
Something I do every day, is thank God for my blessings. Blessings on my family, friends, work, food, clean water, a free life to worship our Lord without the persecution that we hear of in other countries and everything else that fills my life with joy.

Sometimes, due to all the distractions in this life we lead, we forget to get down on our knees and thank God for all our blessings: the ones we know of and the ones we don’t see. I know I am guilty of this. Life sometimes is so busy, it’s even hard to take care of myself let alone get on my knees. I do pray every day, but sometimes I miss the thank you parts that need to be said to my God. I know I have talked about this before and you will most likely hear it again but it’s all good guys; that’s what I do… reminding us we are blessed by God in so many ways! ;o)

I read this the other day and thought it would be nice to share it with you. It’s from a Pastor Jack Wellman…
If the Lord God has saved you, then you are blessed above most of those who live on the earth.  If you are not saved then you only have the curse of judgment to come (Rev 20:11-15) and this curse cannot be reversed. If today you will repent and trust in Christ as your Savior, your blessings will be awaiting you in heaven because they will be reserved for you there (Eph 1:3) and what greater blessing is there in all the universe than to have eternal life in Christ?”

Please pray… I have chosen Psalm 150 for our prayer, I think praising God is one good way to say thank you for his Blessing!

Praise the Lord!
Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens!
Praise him for his mighty deeds; praise him according to his excellent greatness!
Praise him with trumpet sound; praise him with lute and harp!
Praise him with tambourine and dance; praise him with strings and pipe!
Praise him with sounding cymbals; praise him with loud clashing cymbals!
Let everything that has breath praise the Lord!
Praise the Lord!

Blessings All!
Have a Great Day!
Keep your head up! GOD gives his hardest battles to his strongest SOLDIERS…
So as we go through our day let us go out to help and to care for all that need it, in Jesus’ name…Amen!
Jimmy ;o)
