MCF – Gagetown group – study & prayer

The following encouragement comes from the weekly Gagetown MCF group.  The group is fervently led by Padre Andrew Whitman with his insights on scripture, Jimmy Damiani with his humble prayerfulness, and Jeff Page with his cheerful faithfulness.

Well it’s that time again! Christmas leave is here.
This week’s prayer group will be the last till leave is over so we will be stood down till January 17 2018.

On that note, I would like to say whether or not you celebrate the traditional Christmas, Hanukkah or just celebrate your faith, though there is different thoughts of when Jesus was born; we all should know one thing for sure, that without Jesus, we never would have been saved from our sins. He was born to die for us, as God has told us many times in the OT and the NT.

As we have seen together in past emails (from scripture) there is NOTHING we can do to save ourselves or make ourselves righteous in front of our God but ONLY through Jesus. Hebrews 11:6 says “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him”.  Ephesians 2:8 for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God. Just to quote a few…

Here are a few more to reflect on:
Isaiah 7:14
Luke 1:31
Genesis 22:2
John 3:16
Psalm 2:7
Mark 1:11
Mark 9:7
Luke 2:8-20

The world will be celebrating something. We should never forget why the angels came down from heaven to sing for this world!

Blessing All!
Have a Great Day!
Keep your head up! GOD gives his hardest battles to his strongest SOLDIERS…
So as we go through our day let us go out to help and to care for all that need it, in Jesus’ name…Amen!
