MCF - SMALL GROUP - ANDREW - FORM SQUARE - 2016-03-23 at 11.34.33 AMHello all,

Glory be to God in the Highest!! What a beautiful week this has turned out to be…so far. Let’s hope this is a good sign of better weather to come. So after last week in our discussion of Paul and his unseen faith, we saw that faith is the hope of everlasting life in the inward man being renewed in Christ – the Son of the living God!

2 Corinthians 5:1-10

5 For we know that if the tent that is our earthly home is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. 2 For in this tent we groan, longing to put on our heavenly dwelling, 3 if indeed by putting it on we may not be found naked. 4 For while we are still in this tent, we groan, being burdened—not that we would be unclothed, but that we would be further clothed, so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life. 5 He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who has given us the Spirit as a guarantee. 6 So we are always of good courage. We know that while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord, 7 for we walk by faith, not by sight. 8 Yes, we are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord. 9 So whether we are at home or away, we make it our aim to please him. 10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil.

Study points…

  1. What did Paul know he would have if his “earthly house” were destroyed?
  2. What has God given us as a “guarantee” of the “life” to come?
  3. What remains our condition while we are “at home in the body”?
  4. What does our present condition require of us in our daily “walk”?
  5. What is the desire of the “confident” Christian?
  6. What is the aim of “confident” Christian?
  7. Before what must we all one day appear?

With this study my prayer comes from John 12:26…

26 If anyone serves me, he must follow me; and where I am, there will my servant be also. If anyone serves me, the Father will honor him.

My God! El Eiyon, thank you for that assurance of eternal life and the new home in your kingdom. I praise you that I have been washed clean by the blood of your Son and I am thankful for all my blessings, seen and unseen. With the Holy Spirit in me help me do your will in Jesus’ name… Amen!

Blessings All!

Have a Great Day!

Keep your head up! GOD gives his hardest battles to his strongest SOLDIERS…

So as we go through our day let us go out to help and to care for all that need it, in Jesus’ name…Amen!
